Bệnh thương hàn ở gà, khi mổ sẽ thấy các bệnh tích sau:
1. Gà con
Túi lòng đỏ không tiêu có mùi hôi khắm, trong có chứa chất nhầy màu trắng
Gan và lá lách sưng to, xuất hiện nhiều điểm hoại tử có màu trắng lấm tấm
Quan sát thấy thận gà sung huyết đỏ, phổi tim và thành dạ dày có nhiều điểm trắng xám nhạt
Khi mổ thấy màng ngoài bao quanh tim có chứa nhiều dịch rỉ vàng
Ruột viêm với các mảng trắng trên niêm mạc ruột
2. Gà trưởng thành
Gan gà sưng, hoại tử, màu trắng xám
Xác chết gầy
Tim gà có u, hoại tử, xoang bao tim tích nước có fibrin
Ruột viêm hoại tử và loét thành từng vệt trên niêm mạc
3. Gà mái đẻ trứng
Ống dẫn trứng và buồng trứng bị viêm
Nang trứng méo mó dị hình
Gà trống bị bệnh thì chủ yếu là viêm dịch hoàn
