The Eikon battles in Final Fantasy 16 are incredible spectacles, showcasing the full power of the divine entities the characters can use to wreak havoc on the countryside. However, one of these battles is an instant classic, as Eikon Ifrit Risen successfully fends off Bahamut's Zettaflare, crossing a milestone set by the protagonist in Kingdom Hearts 3. Players can prepare enough Final Fantasy XVI Gil in the game. This battle with Bahamut is not the first time the Final Fantasy series has showcased the all-powerful Zettaflare, as it has become the primary way to showcase the incredible power of certain characters in recent years. However, the most notable exception to the use of the ability prior to Final Fantasy 16 was Donald Duck in Kingdom Hearts 3. Donald Duck becomes the strongest mage in the history of Scooby Doo In Kingdom Hearts 3, at the start of the final confrontation with Xehanort and his real-life organization XIII, the young Terranort forces the Guardians of Light into a corner, essentially preparing to kill them before the battle even officially begins. To even the odds, Donald Duck projects Zettaflare right into Terranort's face, seemingly destroying him completely, as he is never seen again in the timeline after that. While there's plenty of additional context to remember throughout the scene, the point is that Donald is somehow able to cast a spell so powerful that only a deity like Bahamut could achieve anything close before. This completely solves the problem of who is the more powerful mage in the Kingdom Hearts team, as Sora had previously tried to claim that his own magical skills defeated Donald. On top of that, this makes Donald Duck more powerful in the Kingdom Hearts series than any other protagonist created by Scooby Doo, which is especially ridiculous considering he's technically a Red Mage. However, despite this impressive feat, Final Fantasy 16's Rosefield brothers Clive and Joshua managed to combine forces and completely surpass the series' previous strongest attacks. Clive and Joshua knock Zettaflare back into Bahamut In the battle against Bahamut, Clive and Joshua join their icons together to become Ifrit resurrected, giving them a huge power boost and temporarily merging their existence into one. This allowed them to withstand every attack Bahamut launched at them, including the Zeta Flare at the end of the battle. It created an incredible spectacle, making Final Fantasy 16's Ifrit-Rise one of the most powerful characters in the history of Final Fantasy and Scooby Doo, as he survived the attack. However, Ifrit-Rise did not simply survive the Zeta Flare, but actually repelled the attack entirely, flying head-on into the Zeta Flare and coming out the other side unharmed. This is what makes Clive and Joshua's combined icon stronger than Donald Duck in Kingdom Hearts, when they defeated the legendary spell. Of course, this does come with the caveat that the Rosefields must fuse their two separate Eikons in order to power them through Zettaflare as Ifrit Risen, and will likely not be able to do so without initiation. On the other hand, Clive and Joshua are only powerful enough to survive the Zettaflare in Eikon form, which is interesting compared to the time it took Donald Duck to initially cast the spell. Donald's last-ditch effort to stop Terranoth comes at a great cost, draining his own life force and setting his heart adrift, so Sora must save him from the mysterious witch-demon of Kingdom Hearts 3. While Clive and Joshua can't do it alone and survive, Donald can't even survive casting the spell, leaving both parties with a dire warning about the limits of their powers.
