What is Air Canada’s Check-In?
The Air Canada Check-In is your gateway to a better travel experience. Whether you’re checking in online, printing your boarding pass or printing your baggage tag, Air Canada’s new Check-In process offers you a seamless and efficient way to travel. The Air Canada Check-In has three key components: Check-In, Check-Out, and Check-In/Check-Out. When you arrive at the airport, you check in online. You will receive an email confirmation and be able to track your check-in status. When you’re ready to check in, you’ll go through the same process as before, only you’ll now be using an electronic kiosk instead of a paper ticket counter. After you check in, you’ll print your boarding pass and baggage tag. At the security checkpoint, the same digital boarding pass and baggage tag you’ve printed at the kiosk will be displayed on your monitor, making it easy to show security agents. You’ll also be able to keep an eye on your luggage at all times. Once you’ve passed through security, you’ll board your flight. Once on board, your seat will be electronically labelled to show your seat number, making it easy for other passengers to know where to seat themselves. Why are we changing the way we check in?
Air Canada’s Check-In was originally designed more than 50 years ago, and has remained largely unchanged since its introduction in 1967. Over the years, our customers have voiced their desire for more modern and efficient check-in processes. Today, airlines are increasingly expected to provide a seamless travel experience. As a result, Air Canada has implemented new processes aimed at enhancing the customer experience by integrating eCheck-in, increased self-service kiosks, digital boarding passes and enhanced security procedures. These unique features are seamlessly integrated into the Air Canada Check-In process so that you can arrive with confidence when traveling with us.
How does eCheck-in work at Air Canada?
When you arrive at the airport, you’ll go through the same check-in process you’ve used in the past, only you’ll now be using an electronic kiosk instead of a paper ticket counter. At the kiosk, you’ll choose your travel options, select your seats and print your boarding pass. Once you’ve completed your check-in, you’ll be ready to head to the airport security checkpoint. When you pass through the security checkpoint, your electronic boarding pass and baggage tag will be shown on your screen, making it easy for security agents to scan your items without needing to unpack them. Once on board, your seat will be electronically labelled to show your seat number, making it easy for other passengers to know where to seat themselves.
Self-Service Kiosks for boarding at Air Canada airports
While not all airports have implemented self-service kiosks, those that have are now integrating Air Canada’s new Check-In process. As a result, you’ll be able to check in online and print boarding passes at the kiosk. Once you’ve completed your check-in, you’ll be ready to head to the airport security checkpoint. At the airport, self-service kiosks will now display an Air Canada icon. Scanning the Air Canada icon will display an Air Canada logo and take you directly to the <a href="https://www.travomojo.com/check-in/air-canada-check-in/">air canada check in</a> process. Scanning any other logo will take you to the standard check-in process at the airport.
Digital boarding passes for departure and arrival displays
Digital boarding passes also allow you to print your flight information and itinerary directly from the kiosk. You’ll now be able to access your boarding pass, itinerary and seat information directly from the kiosk screen.
Enhanced security procedures at Air Canada airports
Airport security checkpoints are more thorough than ever. During the Air Canada Check-In process, you’ll receive an electronic boarding pass that can be used to show security agents. The digital boarding pass allows security officers to see if there are any prohibited items on your person or in your bag. The new digital boarding pass also displays your flight information so that security officers can ensure you’re on the right plane.
