Ok I can't be the only one who does this.. one of my masking "techniques" is to smile when I make eye contact with a passing stranger in public. I smile at anybody, literally anybody. But sometimes men interpret it as me hitting on them. I guess smiling feels like the polite thing to do, when you make eye contact with a stranger, right? idk
etiquette training online? Is that what neurotypical people do? Because that's definitely me subconsciously pretending to be NT. Any advice on the matter is welcome, should I stop smiling at men in particular? I hate my other option, which is to look down like I'm shy or afraid.
